In search marketing optimization, many people wonder how many keywords are required for a full blown campaign. There is no fixed answer, it all depends on your market place. The better question to ask is, what kind of keywords are required? Here is the answer to this question.

First you must gather a list of relevant keywords which are targeted to your offer, product or services. Just enter your link into Google keyword tool and you will find them. If you want more keywords, enter the links of your direct competitors and you will usually find some relevant keywords which you missed.

Simply use Google keyword tool to find related keywords. Also make sure that your selected keywords have enough number of searches to make it worth your time and effort. If the search numbers are low, then you make it up by adding many more of such keywords.

Keyword Placement

Take your targeted keywords, place them in your title tags, description tags, meta tags, H1 tags, H2 tags. Sprinkle keywords naturally on your page. This is a simple task so do not try to do too much by repeating your keywords too many times, it will hurt you rather than help you if you do too much.

Adding an XML site map can help with your optimization because it makes it easier for Google to index your pages. Add business links such as contact and privacy, this might seem like a small thing but it is still very important as it makes you appear more trustworthy
